Our renovations was initially envisioned as a kitchen remodeling, but it quickly became apparent that other major work needed to be done to support that, given the structural state of our house at the time. When it was all said and done, we had totally remodeled two complete floors (first floor and basement), removed 2 load bearing walls and upgraded all insulation, electrical, plumbing and HVAC, all supported by formal engineering plans and complete city permits for the entire renovation. As in all projects, some of the trades had timing issues which brought us some frustration and prompted us to get our own trades in order to keep the schedule. By the way, all was done while we were living in the house (during Covid). Today, we are very happy with the results and hope to enjoy our house for many years to come. Warranty support is still available today for any maintenance/repair issues that may come up.
